Most of us will have already heard of the wildly successful Grand Prix™ Chair from Fritz Hansen, known for winning the Grand Prix prize at the Triennale in Milan in 1957 (if you haven’t, what rock have you been living under?!). But what you may not know is that 2017 marks the masterpiece’s 60th birthday.

How do you celebrate such an event? By launching an accompanying Grand Prix™ Table, of course! The designer, Arne Jacobsen, had in fact intended the Grand Prix range to feature a table all along, but following some stability issues the table was discontinued not long after its release.

In celebration, the great minds at Fritz Hansen have decided to reconstruct and relaunch the table, while still maintaining its gorgeous design. What was originally a lacquered veneer table top with solid beech legs has now been upgraded to have slightly wider, solid wood legs and a steel rail under the table top for added stability, remaining as elegant as it was always intended.

You can shop the beautiful Grand Prix™ range here. If you’re interested in the accompanying table, get in touch.
