This is especially important in the bathroom as it tends to be the smallest room in the house, so open space is everything. By all means, get a plant and some decorative soap dispensers, but make sure you keep the clutter to a minimum.

 

Express Yourself

Picking a simple colour scheme for the bathroom is always a good idea, because you’re not working with heaps of space. Having said that, you don’t necessarily have to have go super plain with your decor.

Sure, a monochrome or neutral bathrooms look effortlessly classy, but if you want to express yourself via some patterned wallpaper, cool tiles or even a feature wall, I say go for it!

There’s plenty of ways of adding excitement to your bathroom without making it look tacky.

 

Mirrors. Everywhere.

Mirrors are never a bad thing – especially in a bathroom where you want to make the most of the space. As a store specialising in designer Scandinavian furniture, we appreciate all too much the impact that a mirror can have on a rooms sense of space and freedom.

Big mirrors are the best for reflecting the light around the room, especially if positioned just right (and also the worst for cleaning… *sighs*).

If you combine these with lights directed towards the mirror, it will make even the smallest, darkest bathroom feel open and comfortable.

 

Make Use Of Efficient Storage

Good storage spaces are ideal in bathrooms where you need to store spare towels, toiletries, and so on.

The aim is to get storage such as shelving or cabinets that are practical yet unobtrusive, to maintain a sleek and sophisticated vibe.

Open shelving tends to lead to clutter, so the best option is a hidden cabinet or drawers that will hide any items that you don’t want on view.
